The numbers come as nikki haley announced today she is suspending her campaign for the republican nomination. I am filled with the gratitude for the outpouring of support weve received from all across our great country. But the time has now come to suspend my campaign. In her speech today, haley did not specifically endorse donald trump, but said donald trump would have to work hard to win over her supporters. President biden also moving closer to clinching the democratic nomination. So far, he has secured more than 1500 delegates now to the biggest race in california. Last night, the u. S. Senate race, it was called. Soon after the polls closed, democrat adam schiff and republican steve garvey will face off in the november general election. The winner will take the open seat, long held by the late senator dianne feinstein. Garvey is aware of the challenges ahead. The last u. S. Senate in california, pete wilson in 1988. Santa rosa police are investigating the death of the mother and her young son. Police received a call about 750 this morning about two people possibly dead inside an apartment on summerfield road, right near howarth court. Authorities say the womans son is approximately ten years old. The cause of death is now under investigation and the victims names are not being released at this time. Police say there is no known threat to Public Safety in the area. Grief stricken family and friends now revealing the identity of a pinole mother killed in her home last month. The family says she was shot right in front of her little boy, as ktvu is. Joey horta reports her exboyfriend has now been charged with homicide. A room. Friends and family are mourning the loss of brittany. Ligdus life will never be the same. Pinole police say the 30 year old was shot and killed on the morning of february 16th inside her basement apartment on summit drive. Ligdus own exboyfriend and the father of her son, 36 year old jeffrey kendall, is identified by pinole according e family, she called police when he broke into her home. She hid in the laundry room with her four year old son, liam, and was shot in the head right in front of the little boy. According to her aunt, nancy oneil. He keeps saying, mommys dead, mommys dead. Ktvu tom vacar takes a look now at what investigators took down and what they say was a sophisticated fencing operation in the Alameda Police department showed off the fruits of great police work, 75,000 worth of stolen goods. It took an evidence truck, seven loads to haul it away. Also seized multiple vehicles and more than 10,000 in cash. Alameda Police Worked with the chps organized Retail Crime Task force and Loss Prevention experts at old navy. Kohls lenc crafters, ross, tj maxx,c walgreens, carters, walmart, safeway and nordstrom. You have more minds in the room. You have more people that can help process evidence can help put together a case. It all began with a february 9th organized grand theft at the Old Navy Store in the south shore shopping center. When it comes to retail theft, the lost items are going to some type of fencing operation. The police learned that the items were going to an oakland residence, a residence that was also receiving merchandise from other regional retailers. Police got a search warrant. What we found in there was incredible. Uh, were still counting up the total loss. The fencing operation left sales tags on the goods, made inventory sheets, and even detailed records of the operation, all of which was seized. One person was arrested with.
