Chris Churchill's Feb. 9 column asks "Does Elise Stefanik assume we're stupid?" Not only is the answer "yes," as Churchill argues, but the situation is even worse than he describes.
Churchill quotes our far-right congresswoman defending her vote not to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee assignments: "It is not the right of House Democrats to unilaterally overturn the people of Georgia’s decision.” What decision? While Greene won a crowded primary and contested runoff to capture the Republican nomination for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, she faced no general election opponent.
