LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR DELBERT HOSEMANN - DISCUSSING HOW THE STATE IS PLANNING TO SPEND ITS MONEY FROM THE RECENTLY PASSED "AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN" THE STATE RECEIVED ONE-POINT-EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS. UNDER THE RELIEF GUIDELINES, LOCALITIES CAN USE THE MONEY TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO HOUSEHOLDS, SMALL BUSINESSES AND NON-PROFITS. PREMIUM PAY FOR ESSENTIAL WORKERS IS ALSO AVAILABLE. HOSEMANN SPOKE ABOUT EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. "SO WHAT WE WANT TO DO BY HAVING AN EDUCATED POPULATION THAT HAS THE CORRECT TECHNICAL TRAINING. THAT HAS BEEN EDUCATED IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM OR OTHER SCHOOL SYSTEM, THEN IS READY TO MOVE INTO THE LABOR FORCE AND BECOME PART OF THAT LABOR PARTICIPATION RATE."
