Lincoln Savings Bank tops list of most active IFA lenders in Iowa

Lincoln Savings Bank was the top mortgage lender in the state through Iowa Finance Authority loan programs, according to the 2020 IFA Top Lender list released by the agency. The awards were given to the lending institutions and loan originators that assisted the most homebuyers through IFA programs in 2020. The Iowa Finance Authority offers mortgage and down payment assistance programs through a network of more than 400 lenders throughout the state. Lincoln Savings Bank, based in Reinbeck, assisted 211 homebuyers in 2020, closing nearly $32.4 million in loans. The recognition exemplifies the bank’s core value of "building stronger communities," said Jordan Schick, head of mortgage for Lincoln Savings Bank. "Through our partnership with Iowa Finance Authority, Lincoln Savings Bank's commitment to helping Iowans achieve their homeownership dreams becomes a reality for homebuyers in our communities." Financial institutions with the next-highest loan totals were Veridian Credit Union and Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corp., with 204 and 169 IFA borrowers assisted, respectively.
