Program likely a go unless COVID flairs
Many of the Memorial Day celebrations in Dickinson County were either scaled back or outright cancelled last year due to concerns during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic perhaps most notably the Avenue of Flags display. However, the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors expressed a general consensus Tuesday that volunteers could once again cover the courthouse lawn in hundreds of American flags.
"I think it would really be a disaster if they didn't put the flags up for God's sake, we've got to put the flags up," Supervisor Tim Fairchild said. "If somebody's willing to do it, get them up."
