Louisiana lawmakers removed money for women's prison water hookup from budget

The Louisiana Legislature cut $1.6 million from the state budget last month that was meant to extend a water line from the City of St. Gabriel’s water system to the state’s new women’s prison under construction in Iberville Parish.
