Lutton Marsh volunteer is commended for maintaining Holbeach Royal Observer Corps station in Holbeach
A volunteer has been commended for his service to maintaining a military post.
Dave Hagen (74), of Lutton Marsh, has been giving up his time to maintain the
Dave Hagen has received a commendation (45712282)
The monitoring station is a cause close to Mr Hagen’s heart as he had served in the Royal Observer Corps.
Mr Hagen said: “I am over the moon to have received the commendation. I can’t believe it.
“I am just doing something that I really enjoy.”
The Royal Observer Corps had played an important part in the Second World War by spotting enemy aircraft.
