LyondellBasell facility startup may produce loud noise tonight

SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - LyondellBasell has issued a notice informing residents that it will be beginning a planned startup at their Louisiana Integrated PolyEthylene JV LLC facility tonight, Dec. 29, 2020.
The startup will continue through tomorrow Dec. 31.
Part of the startup process will involve nitrogen being vented which can result in loud noises. This venting is a necessary part of the process which allows the facility to start up safely.
