Man walks down New York sidewalk with assault rifle

The man was spotted with the assault rifle in the Bronx on Thursday afternoon
Surveillance video showed him walking down Webster Avenue at about 3.30pm with the rifle in his left hand 
The rifle had a high capacity magazine, according to police 
The NYPD said the man sparked 'fear and alarm' among those who witnessed him walking alone the sidewalk
