Manitoba Education has filled approximately half of the 120 jobs it posted earlier this fall to staff a provincewide remote learning hub now expected to launch in the new year, following several delays.
As of the start of this week, 52 teachers and 10 educational assistants are employed at the yet-to-launch support centre.
When the province unveiled the concept in November, it set a target of 100 teachers and 20 educational assistants for the hub, which is being organized in collaboration with the St. James-Assiniboia School Division.
