Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan has labelled Labor the “sensible, reasonable and responsible party” in stark contrast with the “wild promises” coming from the Liberal party.
“They’ve had candidates out there who promote dog flea medicine as a cure for COVID,” he said.
“They’ve candidates out there with abhorrent views.
“The Liberal party, the National party are the big risk to Western Australia; both for people’s health, for the state’s finances and for jobs.”
Mr McGowan promised federal Labor would “always keep the budget in surplus” while the Liberals had made “around $26 billion worth of promises” in the lead-up to the election.
“It’s a question of who do people trust to take the state forward in these difficult times. My team, the WA Labor team is reasonable and stable, are sensible people who are experienced and able to govern.
“Our record is clear: we have created jobs in Western Australia, we have kept the state safe, we have an important program of commitments that are affordable and achievable."
