Millcreek Township supervisors consider authorizing hiring of patrol officers

Bock is the liaison to the police department for the Millcreek Township Board of Supervisors. 
"We just discussed authorizing the chief to start the process for up to probably several new patrol hires, which would likely take place no later than the end of July," Bock said. "Preliminary talks are to authorize the chief to kind of begin the process of looking to get several new hires.
"That's off of the (Mercyhurst University Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Police Testing Consortium) list, and we're part of the consortium," Bock said. "I believe that list was formulated in August 2020, so it would be in effect for approximately a year."
