Montgomery County adopts 2024 budget with 13% tax increase

Montgomery County officials concluded adopted a 2024 general fund budget on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023 implementing a roughly 13% real estate tax increase. County CFO Dean Dortone attributed he higher expenses to “new personnel costs and inflationary operating cost increases in most of the departments."
