Deadliest in israels history. A spokesperson for the Israeli Defense forces, or the idf, confirmed that 700 israelis have been killed. And the Palestinian Health ministry reported that 413 palestinians have been killed in the gaza strip. The israeli and the Palestinian Death tolls are expected to rise it have been injured. There are more reports that a number of idf, members and many civilians have been taken hostage, including children. This morning, on nbcs meet the press, u. S. Secretary of state Antony Blinken said, the State Department is working to confirm whether americans are among them, and how many. Mister secretary, does the administration know, at this moment, if u. S. Citizens were among the dead, or those taken hostage . So, we have reports that several americans may be among the dead. We are very actively working to verify those reports. Similarly, we have seen reports about hostages, and they are again, we are very actively trying to verify them, and nail that down. Meaning that there could be some u. S. Citizens who have been taken hostage as well, Mister Secretary . That is correct. President biden spoke with israeli Prime Minister benjamin netanyahu, about this situation this morning. Including the violent abductions of civilians. And said that additional assistance would be on the way, in the following days. Both the president , and Vice President harris, were briefed this morning by their National Security team. The Vice President spoke earlier today, with the president of israel, saying that such terrorist attacks are never justified, and underscori t United States commitment to israel security, is unwavering. Following discussions with the president , the u. S. Secretary of defense, lloyd austin, directed u. S. Navy ships andaircraft closer to israel. A Carrier Strike group is already on its way tonight, to bolster regional deterrence efforts in additional quid meant, and resources including munitions, will be made available to the idf. There have also been reports, at the military is beginning to plan for potential, noncombatant evacuations from the area. Senator cory bookers office announced he was able to safely leave israel. The senator from new jersey, and his staffers, or in jerusalem for planned meetings at a regional summit, when the hamas attack was launched. We also learned last hour, that congressman dan goldman was in israel with his family. They are now headed back to the United States. Meanwhile, the u. N. Security Council President called for an emergency meeting, to assess the rapidly escalating situation. Now, israel has already officially declared war. The Security Cabinet announced this morning, Prime Minister netanyahu said it would be a, quote, long and difficult war. Though he vowed to turn gaza into rubble. The full scope of the response remains to be seen. We cannot lose sight of the human toll of this conflict. I want you to listen to a distraught father, describe the moment he realized hamas militants had abducted his wife, and his two daughters, and his motherinlaw i lost contact with my, wife during a phone call, where she told me that terrorists are in the house, and later on i located through a mobile phone, and saw its and only later on, i had seen the video, which confirmed that she is on this vehicle, and i saw my two daughters as well, and my motherinlaw. And, i i am in a different world. I am basically not feeling anything but willing to work hard, in order to get my wife and daughters back. And, the feeling is awful. According to the new york times, rear admiral daniel hagari, israels top military spokesman, said that Israel Defense forces were evacuating all civilians from the 24 villages near the gaza border. Now, this area has caused the got the villages within the envelope are less than five miles from the border with gaza. But how they plan to do, that is still unclear. It is important to know that Prime Minister netanyahu said yesterday, that palestinians living in gaza should also leave. But it is unclear how they will exit the country, because it is our understanding that egypts border is still closed. I want to bring in nbcs he is live for us in israel, near gaza. Raf, can you just breakdown for us what you are seeing for us right now, and where the fighting is taking place . Yes simone, so we are standing on the side of one of the main northsouth highways in israel. And literally ten seconds ago, a convoy of israeli tanks, on the back of trailer trucks, rolled from the north, heading south towards the gaza strip. And symone we, have been seeing this all day, a near endless stream of israeli heavy armor, moving towards the gaza border. Every indication we have, from what we are seeing here, is that israel is preparing for a largescale, ground defensive into gaza. You do not move that much armor, into place, unless you are planning a large offensive. Now, this would be an unbelievably complicated military operation, it would involve urban warfare, in the unbelievably, densely populated gaza strip, in the narrow alleyways of gaza city. But symone, it is also a hostage rescue operation. Because as you said, there are, at minimum, dozens of Israeli Soldiers and civilians being held captive right now by the hamas militant group, by Palestinian Islamic jihad. And, one of the key things, weighing on Prime Minister benjamin netanyahu, other israeli decisionmakers, is what is the best way to get those people home safe . Is it a military operation, or perhaps more Humbling Lead for israel, will it ultimately be some form of negotiations, with these militant groups. Because, there is just a network of tunnels, underneath gaza city, where we think it is likely that these hostages are now being held. They are likely being spread, out to make it as difficult as possible, for israel to rescue them, in one fell swoop. In terms of what we are also seeing, israels iron dome Missile Defense system has been firing over our heads, and we have heard the roar of israeli aircraft, flying over gaza, right now with air strikes. The Palestinian Health Ministry Says hundreds of people are now dead, inside of gaza, as a result of those airstrikes. We dont yet know what the breakdown is, of militants and civilians. And the israeli government, now saying more than 600 israelis have been killed, in this surprise attack, that caught this country so badly offguard. Raf, i want to go back to the hostage crisis, and that seems to be unfolding there. Secretary blinken said this morning, on meet the press, that americans may be among those hostages, and israeli officials later confirmed to cnn, that that is in fact true. What more are you hearing about the state of the hostages . We just played sound from a father, who found out that his two children, and his mother in law, and why for abducted, by seeing videos on social media. Well, we just came from an interview with the father of a young woman named noah, she is 25 years old. She was at a Music Festival in the south of israel, that Music Festival is turning out to be one of the most horrific sites of all of the carnage, we are seeing here. Part of the branch of the israeli emergency services, telling abc news, 260 people, appear to have been killed at this Music Festival, it was one of the first targets for these militants, when they crossed over the border. And a chilling video emerging, sewing this young woman, noaa being carried away, on the back of a motorcycle, carried into gaza. I spoke to her father earlier, and he showed the kind of universal agony, of a parent whose child is in harms way. This man seemed that he could barely breathe, when i asked him what would he say, to the people who are holding his daughters clapped of right now. He said, please, please, i beg you, dont hurt her, return her home, safe and sound. You mentioned this man whose daughter, whose wife have been also captured, also being held hostage. I want to play you just a little bit, more of that interview, take a listen. Their lovely girls, very energetic, very happy girls. And, they have a lot to say, they love to dance, they love their mother, love to play. They have a lot of friends, and they are like every other ordinary child, and to think that they are held by hamas right now, for parents, it is the most horrific for thought, that someone can, that someone can think of. Now, israel has no greater priority than bringing those hostages home, but the question is how. Like i said symone, we expect they are on the ground now, that they are being held in tunnels, they are spread out, that they are not in one location, that hamas is doing Everything Possible to make it difficult for israel to rescue them, because hamas sees these, people these human beings, as valuable, valuable bargaining chips. Back in 2011, hamas was able to force israel to release more than 1000 palestinian prisoners, in order to get out of one israeli soldier, who is being held in hamas territory. The question is, how to get these people out, symone nbcs raf sanchez, thank you so much. I want to now bring in nbc News Pentagon correspondent courtney kube, whom aberdeen is also here, she served as the Deputy Chief Of Staff a former Secretary Of State hillary clinton. And is back with us today. She is an author, and veteran journalist covering The Middle East. Courtney, i want to start with you, because you initially broke this story of the United States sending additional planes and ships, closer to israel. We were chatting before the show started, can you just breakdown for folks out there, what exactly are these ships going there for . Because the caliber of ships that are being the personnel on the ships, this is not just for show. Right, you are absolutely right about that. So this is a Carrier Strike group, it includes a which by the way has not only thousands of sailors on board, but also has a number of aircraft, including fixed wing, including helicopters. It is a full complement of an air wing, on board. But in addition to, that it is the supporting ships, that we are talking a cruiser, several destroyers. Those have antiair capabilities, anti ship capabilities, even anti submarine capabilities. So this is a, this is a war fighting group, they are sending in. Now, that being said, Carrier Strike groups are often sent in as a show of presents, a scent of a way to deter. That is one reason that a strike ruble often be sent in. It also has the, second capability, of if in fact there is some sort of a call for a large, noncombatant evacuation, civilians having to leave israel, that provides a platform for that. So, the u. S. Could bring people safely out, onto the ships, they can carry thousands of additional people, just to get them out of harms way very quickly, if need be. Now i have to stress, that is still there, is some planning going on for the possibility, but nothing has been order for any kind of noncombatant evacuation. That would be enormous, logistical undertaken. We are talking of tens of thousands, potentially hundreds of thousands of americans, and dual citizens, where theyre in israel right now. So, the Carrier Strike really provides all those capabilities, in one. I want to talk about, we have been discussing, and yesterday just about the way in which these hamas militants were able to infiltrate israel, and you zeroed in on the paragliding elements of this large scale attack. On twitter, you asked, is it possible some of this training took place outside of gaza . What would the implications be, if that was in fact true. So,. This is at this point a question that everyone is asking, because if this attack was several months in the planning, how is it possible that Israeli Security and intelligence was not able to detect, for instance, paragliding exercises, in gaza . Is it possible, that is the same way that hamas militants smuggle weaponry, and supplies through tunnels, that they were able, also, to get some of their fighters out, in order to undergo some training, some paragliding training . This is all speculation at this point, because it was such a spectacular intelligence failure, on the part of the israelis. Also, within the gaza strip itself, you now have a situation, possibly more than 100, 100 israeli civilians, and soldiers held captive though. Some of whom are children, small children. Now refinishes earlier, mentioned who was captured in a Cross Border Raid in 2006. It took five years of negotiations, to get one soldier out. In exchange for that one soldier, the israelis surrendered more than 1000 fighters, 280 had been sentenced to life in prison, for plotting to attack targets inside of israel. So, even if we are seeing this huge buildup of Military Forces on the border with gaza, my guess is that a Ground Invasion is not likely to happen, in short order here, because we are talking about a very dangerous situation, not just for the troops entering gaza, but endangering the lives, potentially, of some of these hostages. My guess is they have already been spread out across the gaza strip, which is a small territory about two times the washington d. C. But still, this would be urban warfare, door to door, building to building. And this is something, that would make it very difficult, for any ground incursion, to be swift and successful, and two and in this scenario, that the israelis would like to end in, which is of course, the liberation, and the freeing of these hostages, simone. We are going to leave this on the screen. I will put the map back. You were discussing this, everything to the right of the red line, that is israel. These dots, the red dots, on the map, these are the places that haul it was just talking about. Places where the initial infiltraave. And these are residential areas, if you, will everything to the left of that line is gaza. Its known as the gaza strip. You served at the State Department during clintons tenure. You were also a part of the advanced team in 1998. It went to gaza and went to the strip in advance of clintons historic visit there. He visited gaza city on the trip. Talk to me about the people and as we are discussing what is unfolding in the region there are thousands of people that live along that strip that are talking about. The 24 miles in the envelope. Simone, you are exactly right. Its important to make the differentiation that this is a hamas versus the Palestinian People just as weve been hearing from the last 36 or so hours now, everything about this has been shocking. The surprise, the size, the strategy. The speed. There has been a lot of assertions about what might be happening and what could be happening and why, we dont know how and the humanitarian element of it is something that should not be forgotten. I was talking to a friend who was in israel. She is now, shes made it safely today by. Her family, her lees lives and one of the spots in the middle, the kibbutz. Her niece, husband, and their baby were killed in the early hours yesterday. On the other side, i talk to my palestinian friends, his family in gaza is sitting there waiting. They have been there listening to these announcements by the Prime Minister of israel to evacuate gaza. We all know thats not really possible. So, the humanitarian element, simone, you and i talked about this a few weeks ago. We are talking about this potential deal that saudi and americans were talking about normalizing relations back then when i was in the white house, yes i did advance that trip. I was at camp david in 2000 when Yasser Arafat was there to potentially make a deal at the time. It was the central policy that has since fallen away. We have had other countries in the gulf who have, as we, know normalized relations. Once the dust settled, its going to be a long time. The fact that we keep playing this father who lost his wife and two daughters, there is a mother whos been talking about her teenagers. She was on the phone with. Them she said, even there are rules. Theres so many calls happening. At the u. S. Government level. And now you have regional players that can play a role here. Once this moves forward, we really need to figure out how there is leadership that comes towards actually putting together a final plan. So theres more integration and less destruction. Thank you, huma aberdeen. Courtney kube and holly grove already, we appreciate your time. And taking us off this afternoon. U. S. He is a member of House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on The Middle East and north africa and central asia congressman thank you so much for being with us today. As a member of the Foreign Affairs committee, have youve been briefed or told about how Many Americans are currently being held hostage . No, i think the Secretary Of State Anthony Blinken has actually the numbers are not confirmed yet. That would be inappropriate for me to discuss that. Just to clarify, congressman, you have been briefed. The numbers are unconfirmed, you are not going to tell us about the numbers. You know. No we have been breached. There is emails that have been circulating among the members. It would obviously be subjective at this point. Not officially. Thank you, Secretary Of State, Anthony Blinken, as you said he did say this morning that americans may be among the hostages and the dead. What do you think it is an appropriate response by the biden and Harris Administration . Even congress if that is confirmed. Well, complete support. The last thing we need to do is get into the middle of the they know how to handle. This this is going to be testament retribution, i suspect. The world will turn on israel as they always seem to do when they try to defend their own people. They go after these folks in gaza. You will see. This will be unlimited warfare similar to what The Americans did in the pacific and across europe. Any intervention by america would just be getting in the way of slowing it down. I totally am in support of israel and of taking care of the situation. Congressman, there is talk that aid packages are going to be needed. They will be requested from congress. Theres talk about movement in the senate on the Senate Getting together when they come back to move some type of package forward. It doesnt have a speaker. How are you concerned . What has the conversation been among you and your colleagues about locking in a House Speaker this week given what is unfolding in israel . Simone, thats a great question. I would say we would have a speaker by wednesday. We wont miss a beat. As you stated, the president , as your guest stated so eloquently, theyve already got a Carrier Strikeforce there. In the area to provide aid and support. I would say the israelis know theyve got enough guns. They know the wherewithal. We need to stay out of the way. Congress will write a stern letter of support of israel im sure. They should. A resolution. As happened in ukraine, the president has pretty much freewill of providing support short of a declaration of war. And i doubt that will happen in this case. I would say the best thing that american do is get out of the way of israel. After gaza, i suspect irans gonna have to pay a brutal price. Its been noted the president of iran called the leader of hamas and congratulated them. When america freed up i consider him out of money and allowed the production over six under percent increase, thats pretty much whats funding this war. Sir, to the point about the money that you are referring to. You are referring to the funds that were released. Assets that were previously frozen. Iranian assets that were previously frozen. They were released by the Biden Administration in exchange for americans who are being held hostage in iran to be released. Its my understanding that money has not been released yet. It is in fact being monitored. So, these claims that you are making, what evidence do you have that these funds have made it to the iranian people . Frankly, the iranians are who are behind the attacks funding hamas. I think everyone pretty much knows that whos bankrolling it. The Six Billion Dollars is a very small percentage of what weve allowed them to do by getting back into oil production. This is continuing to go down this line. Everybody knows. It the israelis have alluded to it. We talked about. At the Intelligence Community knows whats going on. In iran, its a known enemy. Theyre in enemy of israel. I think youre going to see. That we have how many billions of dollars . Im sorry to interrupt you, im sorry to interrupt you. I want to play what Secretary Of State Anthony Blinken said about that Six Billion Dollar claim this morning. I want to play that and get a response on the other side. Okay. Under our law, under our sanctions, going back many, years its always had the right to use those funds for humanitarian purposes, for food, for medicine, for medical equipment. The funds removed from one bank to another. It could more easily do. That under the close supervision of the u. S. Treasury department. Again, not a single cent has been spent from that account. When any money is spent from that, account it can only be used for medical supplies, for food, for medicine. Those who are saying otherwise are either misinformed or misinforming. Congressman, are you misinformed or misinforming . No, maam. Secretary blinken is looking in a very idealistic rose colored black glasses. Say money is not fungible to where they can free up that money. Say they do put it into eight or food, that just frees up Six Billion Dollars elsewhere to go for armament. To say that we trust iran, the democrats in congress dont trust iran. I dont think anyone trusts iran, including the Secretary Of State. I dont think he said. That i want to before i let you go, you seem very confident that House Republicans will elect a speaker by wednesday. Congressman Steve Scalise and congressman jim jordan have declared their candidacy for speaker. Who will you support . Im not going to be public about it, maam. I dont believe it helps. I always say, you bring your side, i bring my side. We both do what we want. In an endorsement, thats what we, do that we pick it up. Theyre going to make their statements. The best thing about its, we have two Excellent Choices there. We have a very deep bench if those two dont work out. Congress is well served. I think the American Public is going to rally around this person. Congressman, my last question for you. Congress cannot approve any Emergency Funds without a speaker. So, in the event that neither scalise nor jim jordan, has there been conversation about electing even if temporarily congress and mchenry who currently is the acting speaker of the house. The business of the house can get done given the whats on folding in israel. There have been talks about that. Im confident we are going to one will be emerged in that meeting on wednesday. It wont go to the floor and have 15 rounds of votes. I think we are going to rally around that person. Theyre going to provide fiscal responsibility. We will take and five trillion dollars. Here we spend seven trillion. That doesnt work. It doesnt work for your family, and it sure is heck doesnt work for, mind. Maam i think were going to rally around the right person. We will have a great leader. I would like to see it. Republican congressman tim burchett from tennessee, thank you very much for your time. Latest after hamass attack on israel saturday morning. The deadliest conflict in israels history. A spokesperson for the Israeli Defense forces or idf says more than 700 Israeli Soldiers and civilians have been killed at an unknown number had been taken hostage. While the past dillion Health Ministry said 413 people have been killed as a result of retaliatory israeli airstrikes in gaza. And Idf Spokesperson says Israeli Forces have hit 800 targets by helicopter and unmanned aerial vehicles. President biden assured israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu today that additional assistance for the idf, including, munitions is on the way. More will follow. The United States military is also moving navy ships and the aircraft closer to israel. What netanyahu wants would be a, quote, long and difficult for. A question on everyones mind is how. How the Intelligence Community could have been caught so offguard. I want to bring in now someone that can help us break this down. Former cia director john brennan is here. Sir, thank you for your time. I know that you have just been following this story so very closely. You spoke to my colleague jen psaki earlier today. You floated the possibility of israeli sources both human and technical being compromised by hamas. They couldve been given a false sense of complacency. Can you expand on that for us . Simone, as you asked the question, how did Israeli Intelligence missed this, im really quite puzzled. I dont know how they missed it. I worked with Israeli Intelligence and military for many years. They are among the best in the world in terms of their networks and technical sources. So, the gaza strip has always been one of their key intelligence concerns. So, i raise the possibility that some of their sources may have been compromised. Hamas was able to carry out this planning for this largescale multidimensional attack over the course of many months without the israelis catching wind of it. Which raises the question about whether or not the sources that the israelis have a relied on for so long in the gaza strip, again, technical inhuman, might have been in fact turned back against the israelis. Maybe it was false information that led to israeli complacency. Clearly, the israelis were caught totally offguard. They were not prepared for the magnitude and scope and scale of this attack. The operations that some of it is ongoing. What signs would usually alert intelligence officials that an attack of this scale was in motion . How far ahead of the attack with those signs have appeared . Well, its clear that hamas has learned a lot in terms of Compartmented Intelligence and activities. So, therefore, im presuming there is a core cadre of hamas leaders that were aware of this thing that was going on for sometime. I would imagine that many of the hamas members who participate in the attack did not even know about what was going when it was going to happen. Even what the role was going to be. I do think that the planning at the senior level took place over the course of many months. The types of things that unintelligent service would look for, movement of individuals, operators, munitions. Some tests of some of the Security Procedures along the border there with israel. I guess the israelis didnt pick up any of that. I was watching the footage, some of these hamas groups that we just rolled across the border, there have no resisted all. There is no augmentation of Israeli Military forces or Police Forces along that area. It allowed them, the hamas members, to roll over those dispenses that where there. Director burn, obviously, you are not in this administration. Can you take us inside how the cia operatives and the current cia director working with the white house . What would they be looking for . What would currently be happening right now. I know theres consideration of enhanced intelligence sharing with israel. What would any of this look like . There is always been very strong and widespread intelligence sharing with our partners. What i think is happening now, the u. S. Intelligence community, not just the cia, but also nsa and others, are probably surging intelligence collection assets. So they can get better insight into whats going on inside of gaza. This unable, fleet the u. S. Naval, fleet its approaching along the coast there. There are some intelligence assets with them. Particularly, if there are u. S. Citizens being held hostage in captive in gaza, i want us to be prepared in order to find out who they are, and where they, are and work very closely with the israelis. Cia director bill burns who has extensive experience in The Middle East, im sure hes working very closely with israeli counterparts. Also with the other members of National Security council to get as much intelligence as possible about ongoing threats to the israelis and two others. Also try to do what they can to find out the location of some of these hostages, where theyre being held, and what might in fact allow the israelis to be able to recover them safely. Former cia director john brennan, thank you very much for your insight tonight. Thank you, simone. Up next, folks, we will go live to jordan and nbcs ali velshi has just arrived in the region. There have been airstrikes with airplanes and rockets and Drone Attacks and Helicopter Attacks into gaza. What the israelis are trying to do is take out known hamas infrastructure in gaza. That is government operations, places where they know or believe weapons to be stored. Now, on the north of, israel on the lebanese, side the Lebanese Army has said that its moving troops towards Southern Lebanon to keep things calm there. However, hezbollah, which operates out of lebanon has also started Firing Missiles into israel. We are hearing sporadic reports of activity out of the west bank. Now, these are smaller matters. Theres no army in the west bank. Some shootings and stabbings. Things are going on all over israel. We also understand that there are columns of troops moving south from jerusalem to the gaza border. The problem is the hostage situation. There is visibility it how many hostage there are. They are believed to be in the gaza strip. Thats highly problematic. There are no israeli troops in the gaza strip. They usually do things by air. If they attempt to go in there, Gun Battles And Street battles will ensue. So, thats where the situation is. Tonight there is still ammunition and artillery flying in the sky, simone. Ali, you are in jordan right now. It has a very large Palestinian Refugee population. What are you hearing on the ground there . What are you seeing . Well, this is a Refugee Population since 1948. Since what the arabs referred to as the knock by. The splitting of israel and of palestine into israel and the palestinian territories. At the, time the west bank has administered jordan. As things got worse over the years, palestinians moved to places like jordan. More than 60 of the population right here in jordans palestinian. Including the queen of jordan herself. So, theres a lot of unrest. Here there is a lot of dissatisfaction. There is a lot of trouble as well. There are about 1 Million People who are trying to get out of gaza. If they cant come to jordan because theres no way to cross from gaza across israel into jordan. This is a destination that a lot of them would like to come to. Theyre also trying to get to each. If that border is close. Theres a direct crossing from gaza into egypt. That is close. The egyptians are very worried about that right now. Knowing that they cannot get into israel. That border is completely sealed off. The whole region is tense right now about whats going to happen. Not just with the refugees, but where the various governments in the region are going to come down on what happens in the next few days. The next few days, israel has promised a remarkable retaliation against gaza. Again, theyre waiting to figure out what their hostage situation. Is they dont want to have a full stale retaliation until theyre able to get the hostages free from hamas, simone. Ali velshi, amen jordan, thank you very much. The brutality that we are seeing in israel against civilians leaves no question that we are dealing with an unfolding human rights crisis. Up next, im going to talk to a Human Rights Lawyer about the sheer toll of what we are seeing and what the International Community can do to help civilians. Stay with us. The loss of life in israel and the gaza strip is only expected to rise falling the hamas attack on israel. The Israeli Defense Ministry Says nearly 700 israelis have been killed by hamass attack and in gaza. The Palestinian Health Ministry Says more than 400 people have died in israeli retaliation strikes. Soldiers and civilians are being taken hostage by hamas. We told you earlier in this show about a shirt whose, two young daughters and motherinlaw were kidnapped by hamas militants while visiting their family near the border. Their lives are some of the dozens impacted by this crisis. Joining me now to discuss the human toll of this conflict is human rights attorney zahau hissed on. A fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Police within The Middle East program. Zaha, can we just talk for a second about the peoples side of this . We are hearing a lot about the Military Tactics and a lot about the attack that hamas has launched on israel. The human toll is this is happening in residential areas in israel. Residential areas within the gaza strip. Innocent civilians are being caught up in the fighting. That is right. While we scale in the mantle front nature of this attack, it was not expected by anyone. I will say that the idea that this was coming sometime of a major escalation was coming was should have been expected. What we are seeing in gaza for the last 16 years has been a complete and total cedar and blockade of this very small strip of land. 2. 2 million palestinians have been living. People many of them and originate as refugees from Inside Israel itself. People have been waiting for decades for a political solution to their situation and their encapsulation. They are effectively caged into gaza. The idea that folks there were going to be patient for much longer while this continued boggles the mind. People didnt expect that are going to fight back in some way. Sorry to interrupt you, zahau. I think your assessment is well taken. I do want to underscore that it is not Palestinian People who rose up and are kidnapping and taking Hostage Israelis into the gaza strip. This is hamas. Yes, along those lines, israeli Prime Minister benjamin netanyahu, he issued this morning to people in gaza yesterday. Saying they should leave now because we, we as an israel, it will operate forcefully everywhere. I said yesterday, we talked a lot today about where will the people in gaza, the Palestinians In Gaza Go . What can they even do . They cant go into israel as my colleague ali velshi just noted. The border to egypt is closed. Thats right, and thats why im saying, this is so terribly tragic and unnecessary. Unless you get to the political situation and get to a political resolution, we are going to constantly have these kinds of outbreaks of violence. This is not the first time weve seen an escalation from gaza with hamas and israel. We have seen it repeatedly since 2008. There have been major escalations repeatedly. Almost every couple of years. So, its really important that instead of just talking about what we can do to stop the current round, what can we do to stop this from happening again and again with a senseless loss of life thats happening on both sides . I will now, to this is the deadliest attack in israels history. Unlike unprecedented like many folks have never seen before. Zahaus sonne, thank you so much for your time.
