Murder trial of man killed in Oswaldtwistle flat begins at Preston Crown Court
The murder trial over the death of a 65-year-old man who was found in his flat with head injuries is set to begin today. 
Stuart Newton was found in his Oswaldtwistle home on Thursday February 13 2020, but died in hospital the following day.
A 30-year-old man was charged with his murder and will appear at Preston Crown Court today.
Police were called to the property, in Worsley Court, around lunchtime, and found Mr Newton with serious head injuries
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but died from his injuries on Friday February 14.
