Excellent shooting from American imports Hunter Hale and Donte Ingram lifted the Nelson Giants to an emphatic 91-79 win over the Canterbury Rams and ended their three-match losing streak in the National Basketball League (NBL).
The Giants’ dominant second quarter, with Hale's match-leading 37 points, improved their season record to 2-3 at Nelson’s Trafalgar Centre on Thursday night.
The Rams, however, who were title contenders at the start of the season, slumped to an identical 2-3 record after their run of two wins came to an abrupt end in week four of the NBL.
