Like many other parents across Pennsylvania and the nation, Lynn Rutecki feels that providing a full or close to full-time in-person instructional choice amid spiraling COVID-19 case numbers is very misguided.
So when the Neshaminy School District replaced its hybrid option at the elementary schools with a four-days-a-week classroom choice on Nov. 30, forcing her to enroll her third-grade son Jake in the four-days option if he wanted any in-person learning time, Rutecki felt compelled to take action.
The Middletown resident formed a Facebook group called Bucks County Parents Advocating Safety that has since attracted more than 1,000 members from all 13 school districts in the county, she said.
