£50,000 grant to help Nottinghamshire County Council speed up work towards new A617 bypass at Kelham

Funding to speed up the work to create a new bridge and bypass at Kelham has been made available to Nottinghamshire County Council.
Midlands Connect has given the council up to £50,000 towards the A617 bypass scheme at Kelham.
The grant will bring forward additional investigation work on the feasibility of a new bypass, potentially paving the way to later seeking government support if viable options can be found.

John Cottee, chairman of the council's communities and place committee, said: “We’re delighted to receive funding from Midlands Connect, which will take us one step closer to realising our aspiration of a new bypass for Kelham.
