A YORK museums chief has taken on an additional national role.
Reyahn King, chief executive of York Museums Trust, has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the National Museums Directors’ Council, which represents the leaders of the UK’s national collections and major museums.
She and Tristram Hunt, director of the V&A, will work alongside the new chair of the organisation, Dr Maria Balshaw, CBE, director of Tate.
Reyahn, who has been a member of the NMDC for six years, will work with fellow members to discuss current issues and priorities for museums and agree proposals to go to the full membership.
