Al fresco meals at night in the park with a cold beer or glass of wine could be a thing of the past if mayoral candidate Denis Coderre wins the next election.
At a news conference Wednesday, Coderre vowed to ban alcohol in parks after 8 p.m. Currently, people are allowed to have a drink in a park, but only if they are sitting around a picnic table, eating a meal.
