Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has rejected the idea of an international probe into the 2019 Easter terror attacks, stating that it is not allowed under the country's law. The President's Media Division (PMD) stated that conducting international investigations would be against the constitution and existing laws. The attacks, carried out by local Islamist extremist group National Thawheed Jamaat (NTJ) linked to ISIS, killed nearly 270 people and injured over 500.
