(ABC 6 NEWS) - Nu-Tek BioSciences is breaking ground on its brand new facility in Austin sometime late this spring.
Nu-Tek works in the pharmaceutical industry and has been looking for a non-metro community to build this new facility.
Those at Nu-Tek were impressed with the Hormel Institue and Austin as a whole and the company has continued to work toward bringing this facility to Austin for the past two years.
The new facility is expected to bring 35 full-time jobs to the city.
"I see Austin as food and ag, but increasingly bioscience, so for what Nu-Tek does, it is almost the ideal fit because of their future in bioscience and the way that they complement the other things happening in Austin," said the President of the Development Corporation of Austin & Austin Community Growth Ventures, John Garry.
