Oregon Distillery Must Resume Talks With Teamsters
Law360 (May 10, 2021, 1:59 PM EDT) -- An Oregon distillery must return to the bargaining table with a Teamsters local and offer striking union workers their jobs back, a federal judge ruled, finding a National Labor Relations Board official is likely to succeed on claims the company ended talks prematurely.
In a decision issued Friday, U.S. District Judge Michael Simon granted the request of Ronald Hooks, NLRB Seattle office regional director, for an injunction against Hood River Distillers Inc. after the company declared an impasse in negotiations with Teamsters Local 670 in March 2020.
