The speed limit on the Golden Bay section of State Highway 60 between Paines Ford and Tākaka is to be reduced permanently to 80kmh from May 5.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency says in a statement that it has lowered the speed limit from 100kmh for that stretch of the highway “to improve safety for everyone who uses the road”.
