Prabajan Virodhi Manch (PVM) has criticized the peace accord between the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) and the Indian government. The ULFA accord, which includes an investment of 1.85 lakh crore, is merely a summary of ongoing schemes and projects in the state. The NGOs argue that the promises made, such as economic, forest, and land rights, are left to the discretion of the government and reveal a wrongful application of the law regarding non-representation of voters (NRC) and voting.
