A program on Oklahoma’s origin story was held during the Pioneer Genealogical Society’s meeting on Monday, July 10 at the Ponca City Library. The event’s speaker was Erin Brown, curator of OHS Collections at the Oklahoma Territorial Museum in Guthrie. Brown possesses a BA in history museum studies and a MFA in media design. She is a public speaker, writer, and creator of museum exhibits including one on Victorian etiquette, patent medicines, corsets, and Oklahoma African-American history.
