Dec 17, 2020 — Earlier this week, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the Champlain Valley Physicians’ Hospital (CVPH) would become the coordinating hub for the North Country’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
Dr. Wouter Rietsema said Thursday that the number of calls the hospital received after Cuomo’s announcement indicates high public anticipation of COVID-19 vaccines.
"Apparently we were inundated with phone calls this morning [from] patients wanting to get vaccine or wanting to know where to go to get vaccine, or wanting to get on waiting lists for vaccine," he said.
