Production is underway on a second season of comedy series Metro Sexual, extending from its 10 minute shorts to half hour episodes.
The comedy, set in an STI clinic, screened on 9GO in 2019. It picks up Australian rights while OUTtv are taking rights in Canada, South Africa and New Zealand.
Produced by Humdrum Comedy and Nottingham Pictures the series was created by Henry Boffin, Nicholas Kraak and Riley Nottingham and is described as the first Australian sitcom with all LGBTI lead characters.
Filmed in mockumentary style, it follows the lives of doctors Stephanie Huddleston (Geraldine Hickey) and Langdon Marsh (Riley Nottingham), who work at Metropolitan Sexual Health. They are joined by Ryan Shelton, Shabana Azeez, Urvi Majumdar and Rebecca Massey, with more cast soon to be announced.
