Researchers create model for how brain gets essential omega-3 fatty acids

Washington, May 8: UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at UCLA, and the National Institutes of Health have created a zebrafish model that sheds new light on how the brain acquires essential omega-3 fatty acids such as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and linolenic acid (ALA).
