A change in direction of a remake on the most popular Resident Evil might have resulted in a change of release plans.
The rumored Resident Evil 4 remake might be further away than initially suspected, with a report stating that Capcom is changing direction on the project and shaking up its development studio.
The report by VGC indicates that a remake of Resident Evil 4 has been in development since 2018, following the formats established by remakes for both Resident Evil 2 and 3. The studio leading the project was M-Two, a studio founded by PlatinumGames' Tetsuya Minami. The studio most recently contributed to the development of Resident Evil 3 Remake.
