A Do Not Consume notice impacting on 213 customers in Barndarrig has now been in place for a month, causing considerable hardship for those affected.
The notice was issued on February 9 after elevated levels of nitrate were found in the water supply.
The water is not safe for consumption or the preparation of foods, but is safe for hygiene and use in washing machines and dishwashers.
Local resident Colm Smyth said, 'There just seems to be a lack of information being provided by Irish Water. The notice was issued on February 9 and Irish Water didn't update their website until March 3. I presume they are testing the water regularly every day so it would be nice to receive some form of updates.
