Rivers State Executive Council has directed that the police authorities should compensate victims of acts of violence, torture, brutality, murder and violation of fundamental rights committed by their men and officers.
Alternatively, the council asked the authorities to get their men and officers who perpetrated the crimes to compensate the victims.
