The impact of the Christmas Day storm, which was all wet and no white, is being felt three days later.
After being hit with nearly 2 feet of snow the week before Christmas, several parts of the county experienced significant flooding Christmas Day as temperatures rose into the 50s.
The region also saw up to 5 inches of rain on top of the snowmelt.
Several roads in the county remained closed Monday, including county Route 17 in Jewett, state Route 214 near Ulster County and state Route 42 in Lexington. Route 23 in Prattsville has one lane open with an alternating traffic pattern.
Route 17 and Route 214 will require complete reconstruction, Legislature Chairman Patrick Linger, R-New Baltimore, said Monday.
