The Supreme Court Friday directed civic authorities to consider and decide a plea of Bollywood actor Sonu Sood seeking regularisation of his alleged illegal construction at his residential building in Mumbai's Juhu area.
Sood, who was in limelight for helping migrants reach homes during lockdown last year, withdrew his plea against the Bombay High Court order dismissing the case on alleged illegal construction at his building in Mumbai from a bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde.
The bench also comprising Justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian, during the hearing, orally observed that no coercive action be taken against Sood until the civic authorities decide on his application for regularisation.
