Schmidt's Focus Is on Davidson Game, Not on BC Rumors

ST. BONAVENTURE, NY — Bonnies head coach Mark Schmidt certainly is not a stranger to the situation he is in now. 
The veteran coach, in his 14th year at St. Bonaventure, has been named by many media outlets as a candidate for Boston College’s head coaching vacancy. It makes sense since Schmidt played collegiately at Boston College (1981-85) and grew up in North Attleborough, Massachusetts. 
However, at a Friday press conference with local media, Schmidt deflected those predictions and potential rumors in a fashion many who have covered him over the years would expect him to. He’s focused on one thing right now. And that is the job he has.
