Maryland Health Secretary Dennis Schrader on Monday updated listeners on Maryland's vaccine rollout.
Most states have opened up eligibility to all residents over 16. Maryland, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Monday, will join them Tuesday. But reflecting with Bryan Nehman and Torrey Snow, Schrader said Maryland moved slower to make sure they could vaccinate a reasonable number of people in priority groups.
"We've got plenty of capacity but it's the supply of the vaccine," said Schrader, who was confirmed last week after months as acting health secretary. "We have the twin goal of speed and equity and both are very important."
