Second major Portsmouth criminal case in a month thrown out due to prosecutors' mistakes – The Virginian-Pilot

First-degree murder charges against Jamal Cannon were dismissed last week by a Portsmouth Circuit Court judge after he determined prosecutors violated rules regarding when and how information must be turned over to the defense. It was the second major Portsmouth criminal case to be dismissed in less than a month for discovery violations.
