Senate Directs Nigerian Police Service Commission To Employ 10 Personnel From Each Of 774 Council Areas

To ensure adherence to Federal Character Principle in the recruitment of constables in the Nigerian Police Force, the Senate, on Thursday, mandated the Police Service Commission and the Police Force to recruit a minimum of 10 candidates from each of the 774 local government councils in the country. The Upper legislative Chamber which directed that the order should form part of police annual recruitment processes, mandated the Committees on Police Affairs and Legislative Compliance to ensure compliance.
