Several American Red Cross Blood Drives scheduled in Northwest Iowa in the next few weeks 
The American Red Cross is holding numerous Blood Drives in Northwest Iowa over the next few weeks.
Regional Communications Manager Emily Holley says there's always a need for blood. 
"The need for blood is constant because we don't know what is happening at all times.  The one year anniversary of the Iowa derecho will be coming up in August, last summer at this time there were wildfire, there's flooding.  Disasters impact blood supply, so we want to maintain a healthy blood supply at all times, and so we want to make sure that folks are always willing to roll up their sleeve if they're eligible and able to give blood."
