Sleep Under a Lighthouse Less Than an Hour From the SouthCoast
After one whole year living in our "new normal" of the COVID-19 pandemic, you probably want a vacation. Heck, you
deserve a vacation! Start planning your getaway now with a nautical getaway less than an hour's drive from the SouthCoast.
Wings Neck Lighthouse in Pocasset, Massachusetts sits right on the Atlantic and features 360-degree views of the water. Talk about a romantic destination to spend with your special someone.
The lighthouse is also packed with history dating back to the 19th century. According to owner Christina, Wings Neck Lighthouse was originally built in 1849 to accommodate heavy marine traffic in Buzzards Bay traveling to ports in both Wareham and Sandwich, and it was a Cape-Cod style house with a lantern on the roof.
