Solicitors ask SC House speaker to remove lawmaker from judge selection group

Nine elected solicitors are asking top lawmakers to remove a legislator, who is a well-known attorney, from the influential Judicial Merit Selection Comission, claiming a “pattern” of questionable circumstances.
