STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic didn’t stop St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School from welcoming newly accepted students last month.
The Huguenot school hosted its first Acceptance Welcome Parade Drive-Thru on Jan. 16 — with over 600 families driving through the school’s campus to receive their acceptance packet in person instead of waiting for it to come in the mail.
A DJ and the Viking mascot provided entertainment, and all students of the Class of 2025 received an accepted lawn sign and a goodie bag to welcome to the St. Joseph by-the-Sea family, along with their official acceptance package.
