He has given over 100 recitals on the Church’s renowned four-manual pipe organ.
Now that Stage 3 of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown has been reached, the monthly lunchtime events are able to resume in front of a live audience.
Christopher’s grand reopening recital takes place on Friday 11th June from 12.30pm - 1.15pm.
He begins with Diderick Buxtehude’s Chorale Fantasia (BuxWV 210). This famous 17th century Fantasia on a German Hymn is followed by Christopher Rathbone’s Seven Chorale Preludes (Opus 151) composed in early 2021.
The recital ends with Percy Whitlock’s Deo Gracias, from his 1945 work, Six Hymn- Preludes.
