QR code-related cybercrimes are on the rise in Bengaluru's online marketplaces, with unsuspecting users being left in financial distress by scammers. Despite previous awareness campaigns, police data highlights that 41% of cybercrime cases (20,662 cases) in Bengaluru from 2017 to May 2023 were linked to such scams.
