Former South Africa under-20 coach Thabo Senong has resigned as Lesotho senior national team head coach with a return home being lined up.
Senong tendered his resignation to the Lesotho Football Association just one week before Likuena are set to take part in the Cosafa Cup tournament in Mzansi next month.
The former Amajita mentor failed to win any games since joining Lesotho back in 2019, only recording seven draws and six losses in his 13 games in charge.
According to a statement released by the Lesotho FA, Leslie Notsi will take charge of Likuena for the upcoming regional tournament.
"The NEC has accepted the resignation letter with a heavy heart in view of the fact that Senong's replacement is forced to take the team with only a week before the tournament," read part of statement released by the LFA on Friday.
