This year has been a year like no other. Here are some of the biggest stories from Hingham in 2020:
The pandemic comes to Hingham
Of course, the coronavirus pandemic drove some of the top headlines this year.
In late March, Hingham dad Jim Bello become the first resident of the town to test positive for COVID-19. He underwent a serious battle against the virus that included being intubated at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was among the first patients to be placed in the ICU because of the illness. After weeks of hospitalization, he finally tested negative for the virus and was discharged in mid-April.
