Chelsey Potter felt she had nowhere to turn when a sexual assault shattered her confidence in a workplace she loved.
Potter had spent six years as an adviser in Parliament House after joining the Liberal Party at the age of 16 and rising to a good job in a cabinet minister’s office. Then she was assaulted by a Liberal colleague in a Canberra flat in the winter of 2015.
Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins, inset, alleges she was raped in Parliament House. In response Prime Minister Scott Morrison has launched four inquiries.
