On Saturday, July 3, 2021, rescuers from Boulder County responded to three rescues west of Boulder.
At approximately 12:54 p.m. the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a hiker who was lightheaded and not feeling well while descending the Fern Canyon Trail. Rescuers hiked up the Trail and met the 69-year-old male hiker from Longmont, CO, slowly descending the trail with his companions. The hiker was medically evaluated by rescuers and all agreed to continue hiking down the trail to the Bear Canyon Road, where he and his companions were transported back to their vehicles at NCAR. The rescue took approximately one hour and forty minutes.
