Douglas Andrew Pierce, 61, of Liverpool, died May 5.
Pierce was a graduate of Liverpool High School, where he was a member of the marching band and swim team; and Binghamton University. He met his wife of 39 years, Marie Vasek, in an English class, his obituary states.
For 32 years, Pierce was the mailroom manager for The Post-Standard in Syracuse.
