Trafficking Suspect Who Escaped Arrest Recaptured 2 Weeks Later
A 35-year-old man from Cottondale who escaped arrest after a traffic stop in February is back in police custody, according to court documents filed last week.
Davin Keon Washington was arrested on March 4 in Tuscaloosa County and charged with third-degree escape and trafficking methamphetamines.
According to police records, Washington was originally arrested 2 weeks earlier on February 19 after he was stopped for a traffic violation.

A man who was in the passenger seat reportedly fled the vehicle as Tuscaloosa Police officers went to run his information.
One officer went after the fleeing suspect while the other stayed behind with Washington. The second officer was able to place one handcuff on Washington before he allegedly pushed the arresting officer over and also fled the scene on foot.
